DRAGONROACH

This oversized affront to Free skies everywhere circles its would-be prey, swooping down intermittently to bespew them with air-combustible acid. A spineless tactic befitting an exoskeletal monstrosity.

ANATOMY

Per-body-part health, armor value, and damage flags. Captured from the wiki's Anatomy table verbatim; values like "300 [100/s]" mean a constitution pool with that regen rate. Fatal? = killing the part downs the unit; ExDR = explosive damage resistance.

TACTICAL BRIEF

• While in the open, Helldivers should be vigilant in scanning the sky to avoid an ambush by a Dragonroach's strafing run. Pinging its position for your team can help prevent unnecessary deaths. • Trying to attack the Dragonroach during its diving breath attack will likely result in death if the creature is targeting you. The Dragonroach's fire-breathing attack will ignite the player so a Helldiver should go prone if they are hit or are likely to be hit. • The Dragonroach exclusively uses fire damage for all it's attacks. Because of this, using armor with Inflammable, Acclimated, or Desert Stormer passives can greatly reduce their lethality. Helldivers may find a use for the SH-20 Ballistic Shield Backpack as it is capable of completely blocking the fire spewed. This is helpful for defending teammates as they line up a headshot with anti-tank weapons. • The Dragonroach will always repeat the following attack sequence: It spots valid targets such as Helldivers and Sentries, making an audible screech. • Proceeding to glide and circle the selected target for a moment. Before the dive, it will make an audible flap noise. • It then proceeds to dive and unleashes a strafing breath attack. After diving to avoid this attack, there is ample opportunity to charge up weapons like the PLAS-45 Epoch and LAS-99 Quasar Cannon to line up a shot. • Hovers for its final tracking breath attack. This stationary state is the easiest moment to hit the Dragonroach. While highly risking death. • It is possible to take minimal chip damage by waiting until the last moment to dive out the way and staying prone. As the breath particles will be focused on your last position, and the fire puddles are not able to set you aflame while prone. • Unlike its grounded cousin, the Bile Titan, Dragonroaches are quite susceptible to being staggered if hit. Sustained fire from any high-stagger explosive weapons, such as suppressive fire from EXO-49 Emancipator Exosuit autocannons, can prevent a Dragonroach from attacking or fleeing, effectively stunlocking it in midair. When hit with sufficient stagger force while breathing fire, the fire breath will continue as the Dragonroach flails in mid-air and can hit divers who were not originally in the line of fire. • It is worth noting the hitbox of the Dragonroach's fire attack extends beyond its visual appearance. Helldivers even outside of the apparent strafe path of the Dragonroach should take evasive action. • The Dragonroach has high health, high mobility, and a wide-area flame attack. As such, it should be the highest priority target when on the battlefield. • The Dragonroach boasts an abundance of Heavy armor as well as near-universal 50% Explosive Damage Resistance. It therefore requires specific tactics to kill efficiently. Here are several recommended methods: 1. Shoot the head with anti-tank weapons for a guaranteed one or two-shot kill. The head has Heavy armor and only 1.5k HP, identical to that of the Bile Titan. …
