RUPTURE CHARGER

When this armored beast senses the presence of Liberty, it buries itself underground to escape its light. Its Charger instincts compel it to tunnel through the ground at high speeds, emerging only to attack those who represent the liberty that blinds it so.

ANATOMY

Per-body-part health, armor value, and damage flags. Captured from the wiki's Anatomy table verbatim; values like "300 [100/s]" mean a constitution pool with that regen rate. Fatal? = killing the part downs the unit; ExDR = explosive damage resistance.

TACTICAL BRIEF

• Rupture Chargers can be dispatched with the same tactics used against Chargers. • Rupture Chargers have stronger armor values on their head and front legs than any other Charger variant; Tank I instead of Heavy. • Rupture Chargers can burrow underground to approach a Helldiver, typically surfacing within 3m of their target before attacking. • Burrowing disturbances caused by Rupture Chargers are larger than other Rupture strain units, making them easy to identify while underground. • Helldivers can trick a Rupture Charger into surfacing at an inopportune angle of attack by quickly sprinting toward/past its burrowed form when close enough. • Burrowing units can be forced to surface by any explosive effect. This includes primary weapons with the 'explosive' trait. such as the CB-9 Exploding Crossbow, PLAS-1 Scorcher, or PLAS-101 Purifier, secondary weapons such as the GP-31 Grenade Pistol or PLAS-15 Loyalist, and most (but not all) grenade types. • The Rupture Charger can be damaged while burrowing, but only by grenades, gas, and sometimes fire.
