ANATOMY

Per-body-part health, armor value, and damage flags. Captured from the wiki's Anatomy table verbatim; values like "300 [100/s]" mean a constitution pool with that regen rate. Fatal? = killing the part downs the unit; ExDR = explosive damage resistance.

TACTICAL BRIEF

• Upon death, Spore Burst Terminids will release a cloud of spores, damaging nearby Helldivers, disrupting vision, and buffing nearby Spore Burst Terminids. When entering a cloud of spores (created by another Spore Burst Terminid’s death or through the Spore Burst Bile Titan’s bile spew), Spore Burst Terminids will gain a significant increase in speed, allowing them to close the gap on Helldivers. • Gas and Fire weapons such as the AX/TX-13 Dog Breath, FLAM-40 Flamethrower, and B/FLAM-80 Cremator can slow and deter Spore Burst Terminids from a Helldiver's position, allowing them to more easily avoid attacks and spore explosions. Spore Burst Terminids do not release their spores if they die while burning. This makes continuous laser weapons (such as the LAS-5 Scythe) and Fire weapons useful to avoid enraging a horde of Spore Burst Terminids. • Crowd control Stratagems such as MD-8 Gas Mines, A/M-23 EMS Mortar Sentry, Orbital EMS Strike, and A/ARC-3 Tesla Tower are especially effective at slowing down Spore Burst Terminids, preventing them from using their increased speed to engage Helldivers. • Using melee weapons against Spore Burst Terminids is not recommended, as repeated spore explosions will stagger and eventually kill an ignorant Helldiver. • Despite its passive effect, Armor with the Acclimated or Desert Stormer passives are not very effective against Spore Burst Terminids, as they provide limited utility against the already low damage spore explosions. • Hunters are relatively weak when compared to Warriors and other medium-sized Terminids. Shooting their heads will quickly dispatch them. • Shooting the legs of a Hunter will greatly slow them and prevent them from performing a pounce. • Hunters are weak if encountered alone, but should be prioritized within swarms over other medium-sized Terminids, due to their ability to quickly approach and pounce Helldivers.
