WAR STRIDER
The War Strider is a large Automaton bipedal walker with heavy armor, high-powered Fusion Culverins, and Grenade Projectors.
TACTICAL BRIEF
• The War Strider is a heavy unit with Heavy armor and high-powered weapons. Any weapon with Heavy armor penetration or higher can damage any part of it except for the greaves on the back of its Legs. The hip joints on the War Strider have a lower armor value of Medium, allowing for weapons such as the MG-43 Machine Gun to take it down.
• The Eye Rear Vent are the War Strider's main weak spots; though highly durable, they are the lowest health parts that are fatal. A single shot from the RS-422 Railgun in unsafe mode or three shots from the APW-1 Anti-Materiel Rifle can destroy either of its eyes.
• The crotch and legs are more suitable targets for dedicated Anti-Tank weapons, as they have significantly more health. A single shot from the GP-20 Ultimatum or FAF-14 Spear missile can kill the War Strider regardless of which body part it hits. making it the most effective anti-tank weapon system against them.
• A single hit from the EAT-17 Expendable Anti-Tank, LAS-99 Quasar Cannon, or the GR-8 Recoilless Rifle to the crotch, hip joints, or legs will destroy the Strider.
• The E/AT-12 Anti-Tank Emplacement and MLS-4X Commando can eliminate the Strider with two shots to the crotch or legs, or a single shot to the hip joints.
• A single G-123 Thermite can kill the War Strider when thrown at its torso or crotch.
• The S-11 Speargun can stagger the War Strider, causing it to temporarily cease its attacks. In a pinch, 2 shots to the eye or hip joint will destroy the Strider.
• Eagle strike stratagems such as the Eagle Strafing Run, Eagle Airstrike, and Eagle 500kg Bomb can take advantage of the War Strider's low mobility to deal heavy damage. The Eagle 110mm Rocket Pods is also a very effective option, being capable of one shotting the War Strider if all 6 rockets land Simply strafing horizontally is an effective way to dodge fire from the War Strider.
• The grenades fired from its Projectors will ignore the shield generated from FX-12 Shield Generator Relays and SH-32 Shield Generator Packs Consequently, engaging War Striders requires players to not only find cover but also reserve a safe exit route in case the War Strider attacks with grenades.
• These grenades can be tossed away, akin to a Commissar's, but this is ill-advised due to the sheer volume of grenades.
• During a mission, the Helldivers may hear the unique "howling" of nearby War Striders. This audio cue enables Helldivers to detect the presence of War Striders and reconsider their tactics for further actions. If Helldivers are close enough to War Strider, they can hear their usual chatting instead of howling.
ATTACKS
Weapons and melee strikes this unit can perform. Each card shows the wiki's illustration, a one-line description, and the full stat table (Damage, Armor Penetration, Fire Rate, Stagger, etc). Values are passed through verbatim, so multi-line cells like "350RPM (2-Round Burst) / 1.2s (Between Bursts)" stay readable.
Former anti-vehicle emplacement weapons find a new purpose mounted onto the massive War Strider. Often paired, these weapons have enough output to break apart armoured vehicles and completely obliterate anything smaller in-between

Loaded with the same HE Grenades often thrown by Troopers, the Projector can unload said munitions at both a massive rate, range and quantity. Firing in a parabolic arc, the Projector can completely saturate an area with high explosive ordinance
